Keynote Address “Recruiting the Next Generation for Public Ministry”
God tells us in Scripture that His Word will be preached until Christ comes again. The question we have to ask ourselves is, “Will it be preached among us?” In order to address the increased vacancies and declining enrollment in our worker training schools, the Board for Ministerial Education has started a new initiative with the calling of several Ministry Recruitment Counselors. In the keynote address, we will be introducing this initiative and learning how you can help recruit more from our church body to consider serving in the public ministry.
Pastor Mark Schroeder has served our church body in the ministerial education system by teaching at both of our prep schools as well as mission congregations in Cary, NC and Gilbert AZ. He recently accepted a call to serve at the Board for Ministerial Education as a Ministry Recruitment Counselor. His wife, Alissa, currently teaches at Emmanuel Lutheran School in Tempe, AZ. They have been blessed with three children: Lydia, Elijah, and Mya who all attend Luther Preparatory School in Watertown, WI.
